Last year saw Gary attain a top 3 position on the Staysure Tour order of merit, finishing in 28th place.

After a steady start, 2 consecutive top ten finishes in The Russian Open (tied 4th) and the Willow Senior Golf Classic (tied 8th), propelled Gary up the rankings.

After 4 more top-25 finishes in the next 4 events, Gary needed a top-10 finish in the penultimate event, the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius to guarantee his place in Seychelles for the MCB Tour Championship the following week. He duly obliged with a 7th place and then finished his season in style with a 66 in the final round in the Seychelles to secure the order of merit position.
