Gary Has Sights Set on Swiss Seniors

Traditionally the Swiss Seniors Open has been a happy hunting ground for Island Green ambassador Gary Wolstenholme who in the last six outings at the event has secured no less than five top 10 finishes including a third place in 2011.

Currently residing in 27th position on the European Senior Tour Order of Merit after three events, Gary will be looking to improve his ranking and move his way into position to retain his playing privileges on tour for 2018.

Former European Number One Ronan Rafferty is one of 11 European Ryder Cup Players in the 54 man field for the 21st edition of the Swiss Seniors Open, one of the longest running events on the European Senior Tour. Other Ryder Cup players playing at Bad Ragaz include Phillip Price and new member of the European Senior Tour, Jarmo Sandelin. Home favourite Andre Bossert will also be in the field looking to add to his solitary European Senior title, the Travis Perkins Masters in 2016.

Gary begins on Friday 7th July alongside American Gary Rusnak and Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant at 9.11am local time.

All at Champions of Golf wish Gary the very best of luck for the Swiss Seniors Open this week and the rest of the European Senior Tour season.
